Mika, the resident

A requinto reads like a guitar and sounds a fourth higher. Mika tunes to what it sounds. The microphone closes when you stop, when all is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded.

Requinto tuning: string by string

Standard requinto tuning: A D G C E A (A2 D3 G3 C4 E4 A4). The requinto is the small guitar that plays the lead lines in a Mexican trío romántico, with a scale of about 53 cm. It's tuned A D G C E A, every string a fourth above a guitar's, so a guitar with a capo at the fifth fret sounds exactly the same notes.

Requinto parts are usually written as if for guitar and sound a fourth higher, so a requinto player reading an E plays a fingering whose note is an A. Tune by the pitches in the table, not by the guitar names on your sheet, or every string ends up a fourth low and slack.

The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody over a beat.

Audio: your microphone, on only after you tap. The sound is analysed in this tab and never sent. Nothing about the audio reaches the visit count.
