About

Who makes brumm.club

brumm.club is a small set of free tools for producers and DJs: the note of a sample, the tempo of a track, a hummed line as MIDI, the keys that mix. Each one answers a single question in the browser and hands you a number or a file. No plug-in, no account, nothing you sing or play is uploaded.

It is made by Daniel Breyer in Berlin. Daniel studied theoretical quantum physics, published a paper in Physical Review A, and is one half of Acado, the Berlin duo he has made club music with for twenty years. The tools are written with AI help and checked against real recordings; how accurate they are is measured and published, for the 808 tuner for example.

They came out of Brumm, an app that turns a hum into an instrument inside a club track. The app needed an ear for pitch and a sense of tempo, and those parts work on their own, so they are here, for the studio and the booth.

The sister site

brumm.club is the sister site of brumm.ai, where Brumm lives: the app, Brumm Kids for children, and tools for singers and players. Same maker, same server in Frankfurt, same rules. This site keeps to the producers and DJs.
