Mika, the resident

The resident runs the night in the app. These are his parts before the drop: note, tempo, MIDI.

They come from a producer. Daniel is one half of Acado: nine million plays on Spotify, none of them generated, several of them at 6 am. He started out DJing Balkan beats behind a club mixer, with a mustache drawn on in mascara. Electronic Balkan and club klezmer didn’t exist, so he produced them. Today it’s tech house, which is also the sound the app makes.

The parts came out of Brumm, the app that turns a hum into a track. It needed an ear for pitch and a sense of tempo. They work on their own, so they’re here.

They don’t replace your DAW. They end in a number, a MIDI file or a WAV, and you take it from there. Nothing you hum leaves your phone.
